Do You Ever Feel Overwhelmed By Christmas Chaos?

December 4, 2019
Christmas Chaos

Christmas chaos.

It’s a thing… right?

Maybe I just made it up.

Either way, the holidays always seem to throw off our normal routines. Christmas permeates every corner of our lives. And sometimes that can be overwhelming.

I know, for me, sometimes during the busy holiday season, my whole world seems off-kilter.

Christmas Chaos

There are extra events on my schedule. In addition to it being basketball season, there are holiday concerts and Christmas events. Get-togethers with family and friends, school break, and time off work. Travel plans and company that comes to visit.

For the most part, I love every moment of it. Spending extra time with those we love is something I cherish (even as an introvert).

However, sometimes my schedule gets so full that some of my normal routines get squeezed out. And I don’t know why, but my morning quiet time always seems to be the first to go.

But just because I miss my quiet time in the morning, doesn’t mean that my Christmas season is void of Jesus. Not in the least.

In fact, I share three ways to take a break with Jesus in a post I wrote over on Living A Faithful Life. I hope you’ll join me there.

Christmas Chaos is definitely a thing! I appreciate your words, as I, too, am trying to focus more on Jesus this year and tune other things out!

I actually came across another post today about the chaos of Christmas, so I feel kind of validated. It’s so easy to get overwhelmed by it all, isn’t it? But it’s nice to know we are in this together. The struggle is real, but we’ll make it through.
