(in)courage Devotional Bible Review

November 12, 2018

Do you ever wish you could breathe fresh life into your quiet time?

I was there recently.

I have always been a firm believe that all I need in my quiet time is my Bible, Jesus, and myself. But I was in a bad place and I needed wisdom from someone else. So I started looking for a devotional book.

The first few books I tried fell flat, but then I found the new devotional Bible from (in)courage.

The InCourage BibleWhat I love most about this Bible is that it has multiple devotional and Bible reading plans in the back. The first one I tried was the gratitude plan. You know, since we are coming up on Thanksgiving. But like the devotionals I tried before, it wasn’t for me. So I switched to the daily grace plan, and it was just what I needed.

One of the other things I love about this Bible is that when you are reading the devotional, it’s God’s Word, the author’s words, and you. They added page numbers so you can look up the author, but you aren’t worried about who wrote what. Like any anthology, some writing styles speak more to my heart than others, but at least I don’t go into them thinking, “Oh… I don’t like this author.” Or, “Oh, I can’t wait to read what so and so has to say.” It’s not about the person, it’s about you and Jesus.

More About the (in)courage Devotional Bible

The CSB (in)courage Devotional Bible invites every woman to find her story within the greatest story ever told—God’s story of redemption.

As you study God’s Word, 122 women from the (in)courage community come alongside you with 312 devotions, sharing stories of how God’s story has changed their lives. Because of His grace, they have found beauty in the brokenness and hope in the hard. With each devotion, they sing the praise of the One who has authored their story.

Check out the color options for this Bible on Amazon

Please note the indexed versions are more expensive than the non-indexed versions. And the genuine leather one is more expensive than the hardback and imitation leather options. I’ve just included one example of each cover below, but you can check on Amazon for the other options available. They do have them all linked together, so once you get there you can see all the options and prices on one page.
